Produce & Menu

In the Sarti kitchen, our team are working with the delicious chestnuts they've handpicked in our daily specials. Chestnuts are only eaten when cooked, which bring out the amazing nutty, sweet flavours with a texture similar to baked potatoes, making them a Chef's tasty secret to any dish.

Home cooks should look out for fresh borlotti beans. They work great in pasta fagioli (pasta with bean ragu) or in a hearty winter soup. To make a borlotti bean soup strain beans, then place in a large saucepan. Add onion, carrot, celery, garlic, pancetta and some mineral water. Bring to the boil and cook over very low heat for 1–2 hours. Season with salt, pepper and chilli.
